My name is Melissa, and I’m the artist and founder of Mak Ceramics. I have been making work on and off for about several years, and I want to share my explorations of form and function with you. I focus on home goods for every day use that is made with stoneware—mostly wheel thrown, but I also experiment with hand-building. My love for a neutral color palette (though I sometimes play with brighter colors), textures & patterns is reflected in the pieces that I make. My intention is to make well made pieces that will be cared for and be incorporated into people's rituals and routines.
